- In 1990, Nirvana began their first tour of Europe, which helped to establish their popularity outside of the United States.
- In 1996, Rage Against the Machine released their album “Evil Empire,” which included the hit singles “Bulls on Parade” and “People of the Sun.”
- In 2002, The White Stripes released their album “White Blood Cells,” which included the hit singles “Fell in Love with a Girl” and “Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground.”
- In 2016, The Rolling Stones announced that they would be releasing their first studio album in over a decade, titled “Blue & Lonesome,” which featured covers of classic blues songs.
