- In 1977, Led Zeppelin broke their own record for attendance at a single-act concert, with over 76,000 fans at a concert at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan.
- In 1983, David Bowie released his album “Let’s Dance,” which included hits such as the title track and “China Girl.”
- In 1988, Metallica released their album “And Justice for All,” which included hits such as “One” and “Harvester of Sorrow.”
- In 1996, Soundgarden released their album “Down on the Upside,” which included hits such as “Pretty Noose” and “Burden in My Hand.”
- In 2003, The White Stripes released their album “Elephant,” which included hits such as “Seven Nation Army” and “The Hardest Button to Button.”
- In 2014, Led Zeppelin released a deluxe edition of their album “Physical Graffiti,” which included previously unreleased tracks and alternative versions of songs.
- In 2020, the legendary drummer and co-founder of Little Richard’s band The Upsetters, Earl Palmer, passed away at the age of 84.
