- In 1996, Rage Against the Machine released their album “Evil Empire,” which included hits such as “Bulls on Parade” and “People of the Sun.”
- In 2002, Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters began his “In the Flesh” tour, his first tour since leaving the band in 1985.
- In 2012, The Beach Boys released their album “That’s Why God Made the Radio,” their first studio album in over two decades.
- In 1984, legendary guitarist and blues musician Hubert Sumlin, best known for his work with Howlin’ Wolf, was inducted into the Blues Foundation’s Hall of Fame.
