  6. In 1985, Simple Minds released their hit single “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” which was featured prominently in the film “The Breakfast Club.”
  7. In 1994, Weezer released their self-titled debut album, which included hits such as “Buddy Holly” and “Undone – The Sweater Song.”
  8. In 1996, Soundgarden released their album “Down on the Upside,” which included hits such as “Pretty Noose” and “Burden in My Hand.”
  9. In 2003, Jack White of The White Stripes married model Karen Elson in a ceremony in Brazil.
  10. In 2011, Paul McCartney performed a free concert on the roof of the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City, marking the 48th anniversary of The Beatles’ legendary performance on “The Ed Sullivan Show.”
